Napa Valley Grapes in the process of Verasion 2013

Robin and I recently spent the day going to Napa, CA. We got up very early and reached our destination about 7:30am. It was very beautiful early in the morning, with clouds and sunshine over the valley. We then went to several vineyards and were blessed with beautiful grapes that were in the process of going through Veraison.  According to Wiki,  "Veraison is a viticulure (grape-growing) term meaning "the onset of ripening". It is originally French, but has been adopted into English use. The official definition of veraison is "change of color of the grape berries." Veraison represents the transition from berry growth to berry ripening, and many changes in berry development occur at Veraison."  It is a very beautiful time of the year. Everything is so very green around the grapes while they take on an abundance of color. Some of the grapes had already finished going through the phase, while many others were still going through it. It was great to spend time with Robin, my wife of 26 years. Here is a sample of what we saw. God blesses us each and everytime we go out. We are very grateful and know that God is eveywhere, if we just take the time to see.
